Music genre usually represents musical form or musical style. Originated due to the influence of culture or society, or evolved by the overlap of some genres.

Music genres can be categorized as: arousal, valence and depth. Arousal reflects energy level of the music, valence represents the scale from sad to happy emotions, and depth suggests the level of emotional depth of the music. Blues

Blues music, initially created by American African community, has the roots of African musical tradition. Originated in the deep South of America, the songs express feelings of sadness & melancholy. Rap

Rap music or Hip-hop music developed by African American community in late 1970s. It’s basically a vocal style used over the beats in a rhythm. The rhythmic variations are usually created by instrumental or synthesized beats.
